Below you can find short overview and photos from the international conference National Forum on Maintenance 2014, held during 3 - 4 June 2014, on its traditional venue at Hotel Patria at Štrbské Pleso, already 14th since its zero conference organised in the year 2000.
      The conference became an event bringing together over 200 maintenance managers and specialists, leading companies offering services in maintenance, representatives of wide range of industries as well as experts from academic area.

       We are very glad that the conference proves its importance by permanently high number of Slovak and foreign participants who favourably evaluate it. The original vison: “Provide state-of-art information of high professional value and create favourable conditions for exchange of experience among maintenance professionals from Slovakia and abroad“ is still valid.

      The importance of the conference has been proven by constantly high number of participants from Slovakia and foreign countries. Number of participants was again over 200, according to the participansts list it was 206, out of which 174 Slovak and 32 foreign - traditionally most of them from the Czech Republic - 24 , Germany - 4, Poland - 2, Austria and Ukraine by 1.

      The conference continued in established model of one and half day conference. On the second day afternoon there were accompanying specialised seminars. 42 presentations were on the conference programme, substantial part of them were solutions and products offered by the conference partners.        During the conference opening SSU gives incentive awards for contributions to maintenance development in Slovakia. For the 12th time the SSU award "Maintainer of the Year“ was granted to Ing. Ľubomír Bejček, , working at Reliability department of final production at the U.S.Steel Košice, s.r.o.
      For the eleventh time "SSU award for master thesis" was awarded to Ing. František Petrík, graduate from SjF, STU Bratislava for the thesis with topic: "Improving the maintenance system of the manufacturing enterprise".
      For the first time the SSU award for the best final work on Maintence Manager", was granted to Ing. Henrich Klajber, employee at the U.S.Steel Košice, s.r.o.; the topic of his work was: "Setting the care extent to lifting equipment on the base of risk assessment in safety, quality and availability".
